Our Story
Ministry TEAMIn 1991, while visiting his aunt’s home in Trichy, Rev. Abraham Justin heard the Gospel for the first time. Though he initially resisted, God spoke to him powerfully through His Word during a gospel meeting. Touched by God’s love and the promise of eternal life, he repented of his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
In 1992, he was baptized and joined a local church, where he grew spiritually and sensed God’s calling upon his life. Responding to this call, he enrolled at Gospel for Asia Bible Seminary, where he was trained for ministry. During this time, hearing the stories of missionaries who sacrificed their lives for the Gospel ignited a deep passion within him to serve as a missionary in North India.
After completing his studies, he moved to Punjab in 1995 to serve with Gospel for Asia. Learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, and enduring harsh weather conditions were challenging, but his calling kept him steadfast.
In 1996, he joined Campus Crusade for Christ as part of the Jesus Film team. After training, he was sent to Jammu & Kashmir, serving in border villages near Pakistan for two years. Through the Jesus Film, hundreds of villages heard about Jesus for the very first time. He also motivated young believers to join the ministry, resulting in nearly 50 young people serving in Jesus Film teams.
One of the most significant milestones during this period was his involvement in dubbing the Jesus Film into four local languages—Kashmiri, Ladakhi, Bhadrawahi, and Kishtwari—making the Gospel accessible to many unreached people groups.
In 2001, he was sent to Chennai for leadership training, during which time he married Beulah. After completing the training, they moved to Delhi, where he provided leadership in church planting training and trained 200 pastors within three years.
In 2005, burdened by a clear vision from God, he returned to Trichy with his wife to establish Power in the Word Ministries, focusing on training the untrained to reach the unreached.
Since then, the ministry has trained over 4,000 men and women and helped establish 60 churches across 11 states of North India, all for the glory of God.
